Why is cisco( the largest network equipment maker) getting huge tax breaks from making 95% of their products overseas?

the government should tax any company who decides to take a job outside the US through the roof. These companies are killing the dollar. I can wait for a democrat to be in Office to Tax these selfish people.

Um, actually, Congress controls the budget, and Democrats control Congress. Not one of the bills that they've sent to the president has had any such stipulation. Why don't you write to your Congressman/Senator and ask why?

Because they're republicans and they think that eliminating the middle class is good for the economy.
The idea is a sound economic theory that doesn't seem to work well in practice.

The idea is you allow the big corporations to keep a larger portion of their profits and in return the corporations re-invest those savings in capital improvements and/or expansion. This re-investment then creates more jobs which leads to more income for smaller companies and for individuals which then leads to an over all increase in tax revenue. Like I said, it's a good theory.

The problem is many of these companies take their savings and re-invest by taking their production overseas where there is cheaper labor. But along the way, the American workers and the tax base gets screwed.

I would have no problem with these tax breaks if they came with provisions that the companies keeps a certain percentage of it's work force in the United States.

Why does America as a country agree to such thing all together! It's pathetic....the price of an Employee U.S.A vs INDIA, is 4 to 1....but there is a lot more that goes into it. It is cheaper, but is it better? I can tell you from personal Experience it is not. The more jobs go overseas, the worse our Economy. but things should get better when the baby boomers retire in 10 years or so, and the new generations will have more jobs available...
American corporations have amassed huge wealth from developing economies, now old population wants to be supported by those countries to survive.

Otherwise retirement beneffits and social security benefits in US will dry up.
